After more than two years of waiting, Chelsea's beloved Meech & Munch is finally back, with a fresh look, familiar faces, and all the charm locals have missed. The restaurant on Old Chelsea Road has risen from the ashes, quite literally, and is gearing up to open its doors again, much to the community's excitement. The former General Manager, Emilie, is now the proud owner and has worked tirelessly to bring Meech & Munch back to life.

Rising from the Ashes

Back in August 2022, a fire left Chelsea residents heartbroken as emergency crews responded to the flames at Meech & Munch. While the damage took time to assess and the cause was transferred to police investigation, the road to recovery began quietly in the background. Fast forward to today, and the wait is almost over! Emilie has not only revived the restaurant but has also ensured that the spirit of Meech & Munch lives on stronger than ever.

What to Expect

The new Meech & Munch will keep many of the favorites that locals have come to love. The menu is staying the same, which means "Tartare Tuesdays" and "Taco Thursdays" are back! These specials, offering full tartare meals at appetizer prices and half-off tacos, are sure to keep customers happy. Plus, you can grab a good old pint of Labatt 50, a perfect choice for those who miss this local staple after the Manchester switched to Molson.

For beer lovers, Meech & Munch will also feature two rotating taps of local craft beers, giving you a chance to sip something special every time you visit. While they missed out on the summer months, the heated patio will make it possible to enjoy outdoor dining even as the cooler months roll in.

Fresh Look, Same Rustic Charm

While the interior has been updated, Meech & Munch is holding onto its iconic rustic charm with a modern twist. The kitchen has doubled in size, meaning there’s now even more space to whip up your favorite meals and ensure everyone leaves with happy tummies. The final touches are being made as they await the last permit, and the opening is planned before the end of October. It’s all hands on deck, thanks to local builders, who not only brought the space back to life but are part of the very community they’re serving.

A Shoutout to Bastien & Co.

No comeback would be complete without the hard work behind the scenes, and Meech & Munch's revival owes much to the talented hands at Bastien & Co. This local gem of a builder, known for their craftsmanship and community spirit, played a pivotal role in breathing new life into the space. Fun fact: one of the owners is an OG regular at Meech & Munch! Their dedication to keeping the restaurant's rustic charm while adding a modern touch shows in every detail. Thanks to Bastien & Co., this Chelsea favorite is not just reopening—it’s shining brighter than ever.

So, get ready for the grand return of Meech & Munch! Whether it’s for a taco, tartare, or a pint of 50, it’s sure to feel like home all over again.
