Erivan’s story began in the punk rock scene in 2001, but his passion for music led him to explore a wider range of genres. From jazz to pop to traditional Brazilian music, his talent has taken him on a professional journey through Brazil, Mexico, and now Canada. With a bachelor’s degree in music performance – jazz from Unicamp in Brazil and a master’s degree from Unicamp/Unam, he’s also pursuing his Ph.D. in music at McGill University. It’s clear that his musical roots run deep, and his performances are filled with a blend of styles that reflect his diverse background.
One of the most exciting aspects of Erivan’s career is his project Collectives, a series of three audiovisual albums that invite collaboration from a variety of artists. These albums—Blue Collective, Collectif Rouge, and Coletivo Amarelo—are inspired by the stories of people around him and bring together musicians, visual artists, and sound designers to create a truly participatory musical experience. Each project is an evolving conversation, open to diverse visions and artistic perspectives.
Throughout his career, Erivan has performed at venues and festivals across Brazil, Mexico, and Canada. His unique sound and innovative approach to music have left a lasting impression wherever he goes. Now, he’s bringing that energy to Chelsea for an intimate evening of Brazilian jazz fusion at La Fab sur Mill.
Join him on November 10th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm for an unforgettable afternoon of music. Tickets are $30, and seating is limited, so be sure to secure your spot early. Whether you’re a fan of jazz, Brazilian music, or just curious to experience something new, this event promises to be a highlight in Chelsea’s cultural calendar.
