Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Garnet Rogers comes from a rich heritage of Nova Scotian descent. His early days were spent harmonizing with his brother, the late folk icon Stan Rogers, while listening to the Grand Ol' Opry on the family’s floor model radio. Music has always been a central part of his life, and by the age of eight, Garnet was strumming away on his ukulele, creating his own version of Bob Dylan’s "Desolation Row." He quickly branched out to other instruments, teaching himself to play the flute, violin, and guitar, laying the foundation for what would become an illustrious career.
A Voice That Fills the Room
There’s something uniquely captivating about Garnet Rogers. The Boston Globe once described him as a "charismatic performer and singer — one of the major talents of our time." His commanding stage presence, standing nearly six and a half feet tall, combined with his deep, resonant voice, creates an unforgettable atmosphere during his performances. Whether he’s strumming his guitar or telling a story, Garnet’s ability to connect with his audience is unparalleled.
