Your Wine While wine is the star of the show at Le Petit Bar à Vin, the food offerings are equally impressive. The trio platter, featuring smoked fish, charcuterie, and Quebec cheeses, is a popular choice among patrons. It's accompanied by a variety of delectable accompaniments such as baguette, figs, dried cranberries, maple caramelized pecans, cherry tomatoes, blackberries, strawberries, small gherkins, marinated carrots and beans, spicy strawberry jelly, and Damas plum jam. The carefully curated food options perfectly complement the wine selection, creating a truly memorable dining experience.
Le Petit Bar à Vin is aptly named, as it is indeed small, housed in a charming building on the edge of Old Chelsea Road. The modesty of the structure under the trees reflects the unassuming nature of owner Jean-François Bilodeau, a former senior civil servant with a passion for wine. The bar is designed to be accessible, with a long ramp for strollers and wheelchairs, and features a lovely terrace at the front, as well as a spacious area at the back for larger groups. The bar even has a little wine trailer, known as the Petite Roulotte à Vin, which brings the wine to those who can't make it to the bar.
Le Petit Bar à Vin is gearing up to celebrate its first anniversary with a Garden Party on Saturday, May 6th at 6:00 p.m. The @lebbqshop team will be on hand to offer a cocktail-style dinner menu, and the little wine trailer will be there to keep glasses filled. Live music will provide the perfect ambiance for the festivities. Tickets for the event are priced at $65 (+tx) and include food with eight-course bites starting at 6:30 p.m., as well as a glass of wine. RSVP at info@petitbaravin.com, as tickets are limited.
