Ember Swift is no ordinary musician. With roots in Toronto, she has spent the last fifteen years making her home in the vibrant city of Beijing, China. This international lifestyle has greatly influenced her music, blending diverse cultural elements into a unique sound. Touring extensively across Canada, the US, Asia, and Europe, Ember has established herself as a truly global artist. Her tours now regularly include stops in the UK, France, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
Since 1996, Ember Swift has been a prolific creator, releasing 13 albums and a DVD project. Her latest work, "Mid-March Meltdown," came out in March 2021 and showcases her versatility. Primarily a pop album, it also nods to reggae, jazz, and folk, all tied together by Swift's smooth jazz-infused vocals and insightful sociopolitical lyrics.
Currently, Ember is collaborating with Tim Rideout, a producer and musician from Montreal, on new material. This partnership, rekindled from their 2009 project "Lentic," promises fresh fusion creations combining electronic, pop, jazz, and folk. Fans can look forward to staggered singles releases in late 2024 and early 2025, with a sneak peek of new tracks this summer.
