Just 20 days before Christmas, Chelsea has transformed into a picturesque winter wonderland, sparking excitement among locals and visitors alike. The snow-covered trees and sparkling rooftops have set the perfect stage for festive cheer and outdoor adventures.
With all this snow, there’s even more to look forward to! Camp Fortune is kicking off its ski season tomorrow, December 6th, welcoming eager skiers and snowboarders to the slopes. From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can glide down Pineault and Allen's Alley, which promise freshly prepared runs. The hill will also be open Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering weekend warriors a chance to hit the slopes. Camp Fortune plans to operate Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for now, with potential terrain park features to be added depending on the snow conditions. For those who haven’t snagged a seasonal pass yet, discounted preseason tickets are still up for grabs.
But it’s not just about skiing. Gatineau Park’s cross-country trails and the Voie Verte Chelsea – Community Trail are also being prepped for the season. While the official opening dates haven’t been announced, the fresh snowfall is a promising start for Nordic enthusiasts looking forward to pristine, groomed trails. A little more snow and the magic of Chelsea’s outdoor playground will be fully unleashed.
